Our story

From garbage collection to 500+ client sites.

Fieldmen began in the 1960s in garbage-collection contracting and outdoor maintenance, founded and managed by Mrs. Maria de Guzman. Fieldmen Janitorial Services Corporation was incorporated with the SEC on November 13, 1974, and the business grew steadily on the strength of reliable and efficient service rather than aggressive expansion.

Teresa G. Arguelles has been a director since 1974 and assumed the presidency in October 1997. The stewardship has stayed with one family throughout, which is a large part of why fifty-year client relationships were possible at all.

Today the group provides housekeeping, janitorial, landscaping and allied services across more than 500 client sites, with over 3,600 personnel deployed, alongside an investment arm and several businesses in development.

The Fieldmen Group

Four registered corporations, one standard of service.

Each corporation is a separate legal entity with its own registered accounts and its own payroll. Fieldmen Resources — the largest of the operating units — is part of Fieldmen Allied Skills and Services Corporation. Clients deal with whichever entity holds their contract; the standard, the training and the supervision are common to all of them.

Contracted lawfully, and auditable.

Fieldmen is a registered contractor under the Department of Labor and Employment's regulations for contracting and subcontracting, and remits SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions for every deployed employee. Personnel are bonded and insured, and every hire is criminal background-checked before deployment.

Payroll, attendance and 201 records are kept in a single audited system, so a client or a government audit can be answered from records rather than reconstruction.
